WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is the sister science of Ayurveda, and where Ayurveda is primarily focused on maintaining the physical health of the body in order to provide longevity so that we may achieve our dharma or lifes work, Yoga offers a path for more subtle shifts in consciousness that allows us to feel content, compassionate and living in the present moment with gratitude.
It provides tools to calm our busy minds and allows us to cultivate greater awareness of all that is and this ripples out in all that we do. We may practice on our mat for a few mins a day, but the insights we gain from those few moments spill over into every aspect of our life. It changes our perspective, we learn to observe, to contemplate, be curious and evolve.
